This is one of many things that I love about software Engineering. Creating these webpage has been benefiial for me becasue it help me express myself in more ways than words alone. I have always had a huge fascination with computers, their software, and the interaction between computers and humans. I would say my curiousity for this field really sparked about 8 years ago. Smart phones had been out for a couple years and I just recieved the Droid Maxx. I saw pictures of operating systems that looked diferent from mine. I read about them and the perfomance reasons why to switch wouold have been sufficient for me but i didnt know what any of it meant. Originally i decided to root my phone and change the operating system solely because I liked the way it looked. At the time not knowing what problems could be lurking up ahead.

The first time I "Bricked" my Phone

Somehow i had managed to root my phone and install a custom ROM onto it. Everything was going perfectly fine until i scrolled across a competitor software company that also created alternative operating systems for android phones. I decided I was going to make a switch again, however i didnt pay close enough attention to detail and had almost a fatal error. In the build.prop of the phone all the numbers were identical except for one number and it had to do with the region the phone was in. i guess i had downloaded maybe europe's mdoels operating system or something. But anywyas when i went to power phone on it had a dead Android on it with x's for eyes. I googled what i had done and most of the comments were people discussing how the phone is broken or unrepairable. I thought to myself "This is why you cant have nice things Ryan!"

Never Give Up

I was in a panic almost the whole time my phone was "Bricked" my girlfriend Mallory had told me to stop messing around with my phone because i was going to break it right when she needs to get a hold of me. It was about time for her to be off work and my phone was still not on. Rifling through forums on google and other sites, i came across the tools and documents needed for me to install the origianl file system onto the Phone that it was shipped with. As soon as my phone was booting on i heard the door open and I knew it was Mal, and she was going to be pissed. Music helps me get through my emotional struggles, I dont know if it is the type of music I love, or if I am just different. Heavey metal screamo mixed with singing is my favorite.
